Rehearsal report – “Inseparable”

Rehearsals for the Young Playwrights’ Festival continue! Actors of all ages, from all walks of life, join preparations for this spectacular event, and although it’s a lot of work, it’s also a lot of fun.

Here’s a peek at rehearsals for the play “Inseparable by Leo Rodriguez of Trexler Middle School, wherein four best friends are forced to deal with some upsetting news…

While most YPF plays are between one and ten pages long, Leo’s play is seventeen pages long! That hasn’t daunted director Chris Morris of the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts, though, who keeps things moving with his cast of students and community actors. He adds that “The playwright does a really good job of setting up the tone in almost all of the scenes,” which helps keep things varied and interesting. In the end, the play is about growing up without growing apart, a message that can be appreciated by all.

Stay tuned for more updates on the road to the Seventh Annual Young Playwrights’ Festival!
